Today we took a short drive to a little hike to the Rainbow Lakes near Neaderlands, Colorado
The trail begins at the Rainbow Lakes Campgrounds and travels into the Indian Peaks Wilderness in the Roosevelt National Forest.
The trail follows a creek that feeds the North Boulder Creek. A good chance for a little swim and a drink. The lakes are fed by the Continental Divide Glacier so this mountain water is cool and fresh.
Fizz got a longer leash so she could get in the creek too.
We stopped for a picnic. Mom and Dad had a sandwich, Fizz and I treats.
Then to the lake swim and play time.
Mom and Dad even let Fizz off leash for a bit. She was really good and came when they called her.
We had a lot of fun playing together around the lake. We found a stick and played tug-o-war.
A beautiful spot to play.
Got to love Colorado.
