Today was Dad’s birthday. I am happy for him but I did not get to celebrate with him much. In the morning he picked up his golf clubs and left until after lunch. He told Mom he was going to Fossil Trace Golf Club near where he lived when he was a little boy.
The silver water town in the middle of the picture is the Lookout Mountain School for Boys. Dad grew up there when his Dad was the superintendent. Here is another picture of Fossil Trace
These were clay pits many years ago and still have some dinosaur fossils in them. Dad used to come here with friends in high school.
After Fizz and I ate dinner Mom and Alex gave Dad some presents. They made me wear a silly hat, I felt like a fool. The things dogs do for their humans, geesh.
At least Dad had to wear one too.
They then left us alone while they went to dinner. Dad did give both Fizz and I a great bone treat before they left. When they got back they smelled like fish. I heard they at Sushi at a restaurant called Japango.
It was all-you-can-eat sushi so I don’t think Dad or Alex went hungry.
More? Really?
Dad finished the day having a Cigar and Gin and Tonic with Alex.
